ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY VALUES TEAM
Established in 2018, our Community Values Team was formed in recognition of the strong and enduring relationship we share with our community. Having received exceptional support over the years, we are committed to giving back in meaningful and lasting ways.
Each month, the committee members choose one organisation to support and raise funds for. You can find some case studies from some of our recent fundraisers below.
If you would like your organisation to be considered and supported by one of our fundraising events, please reach out to us at – theteam@wsib.com.au.
RFBI Lakemba Masonic Village
In October 2025, our Community Values team organised a partnership with RFBI Lakemba Masonic Village. Over two days, our team offered support and companionship, taking the time to connect with residents and listen to their stories.
Grassroots rugby league foundation
In the 23/24 financial year, we donated $50,000 to the Grassroots Rugby League Foundation.
Fast forward to now, and while the weather has been kind and the crops have been plentiful recently, you never really know what’s around the corner with our Australian climate. It is these ups and downs that mean our farmers cannot be forgotten. We all need to continue to do what we can to support them, the backbone of our country.
CWA & the Farmers donation
In 2020, we donated $20,000 to the Country Women’s Association and the Farmers of Eugowra in NSW. During 2019, Australia faced one of its worst droughts in history. This drastically affected the livelihoods of farmers across the country and it was important for us to do what we could to support them in their time of need.

RSPCA
We were very proud to choose the RSPCA to partner with for our 2020 Annual Charity Bowls Day. They do so much for our animals, especially after the horrific bushfires that we saw in 2019/2020. We were so pleased to be able to donate $14,500 to this wonderful charity.
